Jesse Livermore and Money Making

The story of Jesse Livermore makes interesting reading. He left school early and he'd become rich by the time he was 15. He made his money trading stocks. Livermore made over $1 billion (inflation adjusted) from stock trading early last century. A stock market commentator of the time, Edwin Lefevre, interviewed Livermore extensively and compiled the interviews into Reminiscences of a Stock Operator – still required reading for anyone who wants make money trading stocks or commodities.

Jesse Livermore made his money by noticing patterns in the prices of stocks being traded and throwing money into the market when he spotted a pattern he recognized, saying, "There is nothing new in Wall Street. There can't be because speculation is as old as the hills. Whatever happens in the stock market today has happened before and will happen again."

Before you start thinking you’ll make a million by reading Reminiscences of a Stock Operator, Livermore also said, "The game of speculation is the most uniformly fascinating game in the world. But it is not a game for the stupid, the mentally lazy, the man of inferior emotional balance, or for the get-rich-quick adventurer."

If you're interested in making money online through stock trading, learning about Jesse Livermore's techniques is a good place to start.
