I had to do some spring (well it is spring soon at least) cleaning in the "My Links" section of my blog.
I had far too many links to dead sites. Either the url was gone or the blog had not been updatet for ages.
I have checked all the links and they seem to work now. If you encounter any problems, please let me know.

Long time no seen!

Hello! And Happy New Year to all of you.

First of all - I am so sorry for my absense from this blog the last months. Real Life has been taking up all my time. I started work again after my one year maternity leave and with working 7 hours a day, and living the family life in the afternoons all my time has gone.

Now it seems like we are getting in to the routine and I might have some free time in the evenings again so I can continue my project on earning money online :)

The good news is that Google Adsense actually work for you even when you dont have the time to update your blogs. In the past months my amount at Adsense is growing and now I have actually made 100 dollars with it. So I am at the moment waiting on my check from them!

Also I have been hooked on online Poker. I know it is not legal in some of the countries my readers live in. But it is here in Norway - at least for a while ;)

Finally got paid by Day Tipper

In February I told you that one of my tips got approved by DayTipper. The policy of DayTipper is that they approve tips and then you get paid after the tip has been published. Well the tip was finally published in the June 6 email issue. And I got paid last week.
To earn money I would not reccomend using DayTipper. Waiting 4 months before getting published is too long. And the payout is only $3. Although if you submit a lot of tips that get approved you will have a small rolling income which might be nice.
So my final verdict on DayTipper is: Not worth spending your time with unless you need a tip.

Busy days

These days after my vacation have been really busy. My 9 month old son are high and low right now. He is crawling all over the place and wants to explore every little corner of our house. Sometimes I wonder if someone has had any Energy Pills in his milk...

I am back from vacation

You might have wondered where I have been in the past few weeks. I have been away on vacation in Greece. I had a great time with a lot of sun and family time. Vacation is always so good for the body and soul. It makes me start dreaming about our next vacation already. (That is probably why I just found myself looking at this Orlando rental home webpage)

I have in some earlier posts told you about my experience with PayU2Blog and if you have been following my earning updates for a while you might have noticed that they have been a great source of income for me.

I have great news! PayU2Blog have recently updated their system. Up to now the assignments have been sent weekly by email, and when an assignment was completed you had to send an email back notifying them. Now they have launched a dashboard. All you have to do is to log in to your PayU2blog account (on the site you can login by clicking on the "log in" text down in the right corner). From the dashboard you can manage your assignments. You see the due dates, and you can notify them through the dashboard when the assignment are completed.

You will also see your history, you can see all the assignments you have completed and been paid for, and you can see how much money you have due.

There are no doubt that there are a lot of blogs about earning money online around the internet. Earners Blog are one of those blogs. This blog is owned by Stuart a 24 year old Australian.

One of the first things that draws my interest to this site is the layout. It is orignial and that is a very big plus. He also have a contact form on his blog. I have not seen many blogs about earning money online that have contact sheets.

Reality Wired

There are a lot of blogs about making money online around the blogosphere, some of them are just spammy blogs with a lot of affiliate links, but others again are great blogs with a lot of useful information.

James has this blog called Reality Wired. He writes about a lot of different subjects - everyting from usual ramblings to gadgets and gizmos. But he also writes a lot about making money online. He have been making money online for the past two and a half years, and have a lot of useful information to share with his readers.

Like me, he has a "real job" and uses most of his internet income on "fun", I was pretty amused to read about his success with google in the article: "Google Bought Me A 2007 Toyota Tundra". Nice Truck!

I also found a lot of great tips in the article "What Am I Doing Wrong?", Can't wait for part two of that article.

I've bookmarked this blog, I really like James writing style and he have a lot of great tips about making money online. The design are also very nice, I like the clean lines.

I finally got a pagerank!!! This blog was received PR 4 after the latest PR updates. I am actually quite happy with it. I have been waiting for a pagerank update for some weeks now. And with the pagerank update I finally got accepted with ReviewMe. I hope the PR will open up even more doors for me in the future.

As you were reading in my last post I had a great week last week. I am a little bit temped to celebrate with some cake, but I think I will stay away from it. The summer is coming up and I should need to loose some weight before I go to Greece in 2 months. I need to eat healthy and exercise regulary. For a short momemt I considered trying some diet supplements, but I think I will keep it to healthy food and exercise for now.

Why are you trying to earn money online?

Do you ever sit down and think about why we do try to earn money online? What are your reasons for doing this?
Do you do it just for the fun of it, like a hobby, or do you actually do it because you desperately need the money?

My hope for doing this is that one day I will make enough money that I can only work part time in my regular job. It would give me more freedom, and more time to spend with my family, that is a very important thing for me.

What are your hopes? Getting out of debt? Buying that nc waterfront property you really want? Quit your regular job? Or maybe you are saving up for a nice vacation?

A few weeks ago I discovered this PayU2blog site and submitted this blog.
In the beginning I was not very impressed with them, because I thought I found almost none information on their website. After a few days I got an email explaining the concept, and I sent in my paypal information, and also submitted Miriel's Days.

Last week I received an email with 6 assignments. The assignments had to be accomplished within a week, and I was paid 5 dollars pr assignment.
When agreeing on receiving assignments from PayU2blog, I also agreed that I could not turn down any assignments given to me. All assignments are easy to write, 60 words minimun and you have to use a keyword as a link.

This week I also submitted my new blog, My Many Thoughts, and I just got a email with another set of assignments, 10 assignments this time. In my opinion this is easy money.

I am very positive to PayU2blog, this is the only paid to blog site that have a good stream of assignments.

Earlier today I was reading their blog, and I saw this post. I added a banner to MyManyThoughts and emailed them about it, and just a few hours later they paid me $25 to my paypal account.

I am proud to present my new blog: My Many Thoughs. This will be my new blog about everything and anything.
I will write about my interests and my everyday life.

This is the first time I host my own blog. I have bought myself a domain name, and hostingservices from Lunarpages.

This blog about money earning will keep on existing. In this blog I will keep on writing about my quest to earn money online, but I hope that I can use MyManyThoughts as a tool to earn money online.

By hosting my own blog I think it will be easier to do sponsored posts and blog marketing.

At the begging of this week I got just over a dollar into my paypal account from aPairOf.

SponsoredReviews has Officially Launched

A while ago I registered on the SponsoredReviews site to be notified when they launch.
When I woke up today an email notifying me that SponsoredReviews are launching today.
So I clicked the link in the email and immediately opened up an account.

I submitted this blog for approval. The blog got rated instantly. The rating was based on:

- Link Pop: Link popularity. This is based on a backlink count at Yahoo.
- Technorati: Your blog's Technorati rank tells about how much your blog are linked to.
- Alexa : The Alexa rank represents how much traffic your blog receives.

They use these three parameters to determine your total rank. Based on your rank you get a suggested price to charge for your reviews.

Your blog also need to meet the minimum requirements to get accepted;

- Your blog must contain at least 10 posts with 200 words of unique content each.
- Your blog must not be completely automated or appear to be created solely for search engine traffic.
- Your blog must have at least a 3:1 ratio of non-paid to paid content.
- You must complete all accepted reviews within 7 days

I think that this site looks very promising. I am waiting for my account to be approved by a staff member right now, but I cant wait to start writing reviews.

How to earn more money on Helium.com

I have been a member of Helium.com for almost two months now. For now I have only earned about three and a half dollars, so I've been trying to find out the "secrets" on how to earn more money on this site.

The earnings on Helium are based on a few things;

1. The quality of your articles. If your articles are of good quality they will get better ratings, and that will lead to more readers of your articles.

2. The popularity of the topic. If you write on a popular topic your articles will get more readers, and bring in more money.

3. Use the "invite a writer" feature. You will earn 5% of what a writer you have invited has earned.

If you like to write articles I think Helium is a great place. In order to earn some serious money here you need to write good quality articles and make sure you have a lot of readers. Promote your articles to your friends and on message boards.

A few changes and updates

Earlier today I posted an update on my earnings. As I stated I am quite pleased with my earnings last week. My goal was to earn $10 and I actually made almost $16.

I noticed that the only ads I actually earn some money from are AdSense - not much, but I removed all the non profit ads, and moved a little around on the AdSense ads. I hope that helps the earnings.

I finally joined SlashMySearch, I cant belive I have not done that before. They pay you to use their search engine and to refer your friends to them. Make sure to join them as soon as possible to start earning those dollars!

Earlier today I received a email from Good Leads Only (I wrote about them in this post)they are no longer accepting new international users. From now you can only sign up with them if you are from US, UK , Canada or Australia.
The good thing is that they have an international program called International Offers, so if you're not from the mentioned countries make sure to join International Offers instead.

This has been a great week I think. I my goal for this week was to earn $10 and I actually earnt $ 15.8 !
The AdSense earnings was not that good, I will try to replace the AdSense ads around my blog and see if that helps. None of the other ads I have bring in any dollar so I have to find another way to do advertising on my blog.
The great surprise was the 5 dollars from The Ultimate Make Money Online Blog! I was paid 5 dollars for my contribution. I did not expect that so that was a really nice surprise!
The PTR sites I am a member of does not earn me much money so I am considering cutting them out of the summary.

How to raise your traffic?

If you are going to earn money by blogging, high traffic is the one most important thing you should try to achieve.
With high traffic to your blog you have a lot of readers , you will get higher page rank and you will receive better offers from advertisers.

So, how do you raise traffic to your blog? For the past few days I have been searching the internet for a few suggestions on this topic.

- Content is king! You need to provide your readers with quality content. If your blog are filled with quality content, your readers will come back to you. Make sure to update your blog often. Preferably every day, but if you cant make that, try to update it at least two or three times a week.

- Promote your blog. To build readership you need to promote your blog, people must be aware of it. Good places to promote your blog is message boards, you can try out MyLot for example. Just make sure not to spam anyone. Only post your link where it is suited to post it. If you have a signature, include your link in your signature.

- Search engines. Go ahead and submit your blog at search engines like google.com and yahoo.com.

- You need other blogs and websites to link to you. Find likeminded blogs and ask them kindly to exchange links with you. Do not expect other blogs to link to you if you do not link to them, so make sure to link back to them.

- Join a blogging community. MyBlogLog is a great place to do this.

It is important to remember that it will take time to raise your traffic, this will take weeks and months, but do not give up. You need to wait patiently and keep working on your blog.

As far as I understand Google Pagerank only updates once every 3 months. But you can check your predicted page rank here.

On Friday I posted an earnings update, now I am going to update on a couple of the programs I am trying out.

First of all , it seems like PayPerPost (see link at the bottom of this post) is bringing in some money even though my blog are not yet approved. The referral system are great. After under a week I actually have $22,5 pending with them!

Also I have been checking out this site called Good Leads Only, here you will get paid to complete offers. The good thing is that they have no minimum payout and they make payments on your request. I had to check this out and yesterday I got a whopping $0,63 into my paypal account , so this site definately do what they promise!

I had a raise in my earnings on $7,9 and I have to say that I am quite pleased with that. But of course there are always more money to be earned. My goal for next weeks earnings are to earn 10 more dollars.

I have not had the time to do a lot of postings over at MyLot , and that pays me back in the earnings. So I hope I will get to spend more time over there soon, as it is a great source of income , as well as making contacts and traffic to my blog.

I have been doing a few paid posts for CreamAid. They do not pay much, but until I get approved by those other pay per post sites it is a great place to be.
I also have started to use the PayPerPost affiliat program, so if you are interested in getting paid by posting in your blog have a look at the button at the end of this post. You will get paid just for reviewing this post. How great is that?

I have also launced my new blog; Miriel's Days, this will be my every day blog. I will write about almost everything that crosses my mind. I also hope this blog will help boost my AdSense earnings.

There have been a good amount of traffic to my blog this week. I hope it will increase even more the next week.

When applying to different pay to post or advertising sites they want you to tell them about your page rank. I actually had a hard time finding out just where I would find my pagerank.

So I figured I needed to find out how to raise this pagerank. Again I asked around at MyLot and got some great suggestions.
The number of inbound links is important for the pagerank. Also how long the blog has been online. Well the age of the blog is something I cannot do anything with right now (other than continiue to write posts and keep it up) , but I can try to get more readers and more people to link to me. So it seems like I have to do some more promoting of my blog. Right now I actually have just promoted my blog at MyLot. If anyone have some suggestions on where to promote my blog and how to do it (for free of course ;) ) I would really appreciate your comment.

As far as I understand Google only update their pagerank every 3 months , so I might already have a higher pagerank. I am not sure when they are going to update it again though, so I just have to wait and see.

A small update on Daytipper:
One week ago I wrote this post. After that I have not heard from Daytipper so I guess my tips is still not publicated. I have no idea how long it takes, but I suspect it might take several months. I will come back with more update on this when I know some more.

About MyLot:
The last week I have not been able to work that much with posting at MyLot, and somehow the little earning I have done there have been decreased! Seems like MyLot are doing some changes, but it is kind of demotivating using time on the forum and then the day after they decrease your earnings because you have answered the wrong discussion. Anyone else experiences this?

I guess you all have heard about PayPerPost (and if you have not heard about them you should pay close attention)

This site pays you to post about certain websites or products. Advertisers posts their needs throug opportunities, and if your post are approved you will get paid.

You have to submit your blog and have your blog approved before you can start using this system. Unfortunately they will not approve your blog before it is 90 days old (counting from your first post in the blog) , so I am still waiting to be approved to take on opportunities.

BUT this site also have a great affiliate program. Actually they have two great affiliate programs.

The first one is a referral program. The referral program is quite simple to understand. You refer people to join PayPerPost , when a person you have referred have posted the first accepted blog post you will get paid.

The other affiliate program is called "Review my post". By placing a badge at the bottom of every post you make , you are inviting people to review your blog posts. When the person clicks on the badge and sign up with PayPerPost there will be created a special opportunity just for him or her. The person gets paid for reviewing your post , and you get paid for referring the person. A great deal for both.

So I am going to try out the affiliate program until my blog is old enough to participate in the PayPerPost program.

Weekend is over , and it is time to work on my money making project again.

I have just found and joined this website called RateItAll.
They say this about themselves on their website:

I have just found this site, so I do not know much about them yet.
All I know is that you make weblists , rate other weblists and review items on others weblists.

I was reading about Daytipper in another blog. And figured I should at least give it at try.
So on Monday I submitted a house cleaning tip.
I just got an email from them , telling me that my tip has been accepted for publication! I will be notified about the publication date , it can as I understanded take everything from a day to several months for the tip to actually get publicated.
But when it is publicated I will get $3 into my paypal account!

I think it was kind of cool that the first tip I submitted actually was accepted. I just sent it in to test out the system. So far it has worked well. And I will keep you posted on the progress when it is publicated.

How to add other advertisement than AdSense in your blog?

Rachel asked me a great question in one of my posts.
She noticed that I have AdSense in the standard places , but also that I have other ads as well. She was wondering how I got them into my blogger template.
You can read the whole question here.

First of all you have to either be an affiliate in a company , or sell ads. I have done both.
I will provide you with some links to those I have ads for on my site:

Money4Blogs : Basically you submit your blog to them. And they will contact you on email with an offer. The offer is based on your blog's age , traffic and posts. I still have a new blog , so I got offered $10 for having a text ad on my blog for a year. I accepted this offer because I need some startup funding. I guess if you have an older and well maintained blog you will get paid more.

Text Link Ads: Here you can sell ad-space off your website. You submit your blog for approval. Unfortunately I still have a new blog so I was not approved, but I hope I will be soon. Until them I am a member of their affiliate program. I will get paid for referring visitors to them.

DreamPoker.com : You can see my Dream Poker banner at the bottom of my page. I get paid for referring players to them. If you want to be an affiliate all you have to do is go to their site through the link , and then you will find a link on their page to their affiliate program.

Well these are the companies I advertise for at the moment. They will all provide you with a HTML code. What you need to do is to click on your customize link (in the upper right corner of your blog) Then you choose a "Add Page Element" button , then you choose "HTML/Java Script". All you have to then is basically just to paste your provided HTML code into the box. Press save , and there it is on your blog.

I hope I managed to make this easy. If anyone wonders about this explanation do not hesitate to contact me.

Paid to read sites

On my search to find ways to earn money online I have come across a lot of these Paid To Read sites (PTR sites), and I have joined 3 of them; Hippie Chicks, aPairOf and paidyousure.

They are all very similar. They send you emails with links to click. You have to look at the chosen site in about 30 seconds , and then you get credited either with points or a small amount of cash (usually $0,001). All of the sites pay you by paypal and they have a low payout limit ($2 usually)

It is important to know that you will not get rich by using those sites. But when you are on a quest to make money everything counts. At least I can click those links when I watch TV. I am not sure for how long I will do this, but at least until I reach the first payout on those sites I think.

A few days ago I checked out this site called Triond and submitted a picture.
Yesterday I got an email telling me that they had published my picture at Picable.

I am curious that this will make a revenue. But I will make sure to follow it up. If I earn something from it I might even submit more pictures , or an article.
